Violence Against Women

The headlines scream about domestic abuse by NFL athletes. Date rape is prevalent on college campuses. Approximately 1,150 women are raped every day in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Please join us to learn about violence against women and what you can do to stop it. Lee Ann De Reus, Associate Professor at Pennsylvania State University-Altoona, is the Assistant Executive Director/Co-founder of PanziFoundation USA. This organization provides aid to rape victims in Congo.

Poets Taije Silverman and Jeffrey McDaniel will read from and discuss their work in this final installment of the Fall 2014 Visiting Writers Series on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7 PM in the Warner Student Life Center.
