The youngest members, grades kindergarten through third, of the 4-H of Monmouth County donated food to Brookdale Community College’s Helping Hands program.
The 4 H members, called Cloverbuds, opened the Monmouth County Fair on July 24 with the annual tradition of Cloverbud court. As part of the organization’s mission of community service, members bring donations for a local charity each year at the fair. Brookdale’s Helping Hands will receive the non-perishable food items and other basic necessities collected this year. The donations will be distributed to Brookdale students in need.
Brookdale President Dr. David Stout and Associate Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Yesenia Madas attended the opening ceremony along with Freeholder Lillian Burry.
