Canvas Learning Management System
A Learning Management System is a way for faculty and students to share content and interact online. All Brookdale online courses use Canvas, and your professor may choose to use Canvas to share course information and enhance course communication if you are meeting face-to-face. Please note computer requirements and other technical information that will help you to successfully use Canvas. Here’s a 10-minute video describing how to access and participate in online courses and use Canvas.
A live virtual orientation to online learning has been archived for your use. Here’s a link to the recording.
Canvas supports the last two versions of every browser release. We highly recommend updating to the newest version of whatever browser you are using as well as the most up-to-date Flash plug-in. As of this writing, Canvas supports:
- Chrome (current version 78)
- Firefox (current version 70)
- Safari (current version 12 MacOS/13 iOS)
- Flash Plugin (current version 32, for recording or viewing audio/video and uploading files)
Please check your browser version often as they are frequently updated and the above information may be out of date.
NOTE: Chromebook users are not able to use Respondus LockDown Browser or Monitor as it is unsupported on that platform
