Dr. Carl J. Guzzo, Jr. Esq. is a practicing Attorney and Health Policy Expert living in Spring Lake, New Jersey. Dr. Guzzo’s practice specializes in health care law and its relationship to physicians.
Dr. Guzzo graduated from Manasquan High School as Valedictorian in 1979. He graduated with a B.A. in History and Natural Science from Monmouth University in 1983 where he was Valedictorian. He received his M.B.A. in Finance, with Honors, from Monmouth University in 1987. He completed his J.D. at Columbia University in 1989 where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Notes Editor of the Business Law Review. In 2001, he received his Doctorate in Health Policy & Management from Columbia University School of Public Health.
Dr. Guzzo has taught both graduate and undergraduate classes at Monmouth University. He has written many publications on Health Policy and Health Care Legal Issues.
Dr. Guzzo served as Chair of the State of New Jersey’s Health Care Administration Board from 1994 to 1999, Chair of the National Policy Forums Medicare and Medicaid Task Force in Washington, D.C. from 1995 to 1996, and Chair of the Municipal Finance Advisory Committee in the Borough of Spring Lake from 1998 to 2005.
Dr. Guzzo was appointed to the Board of Trustees at Brookdale Community College in 2012 by unanimous vote of the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Monmouth County.
