Mr. Becht is executive director of the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority and counsel to the Newark Central Planning Board. He currently serves as a commissioner on the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, having previously served as vice chairman of the New Jersey Lottery, chairman of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Authority, commissioner of the New Jersey Law Revision Commission, and the NJ Public Broadcasting Authority.
Mr. Becht holds a B.S. in Business from St. John’s University and a J.D. from New York Law School. His family resides in Wall Township, Monmouth County.
Becht expressed his willingness to serve, as all three of his children attended Brookdale. “It was a great experience for my children, all credits transferred to their respective colleges, and they claimed some of their Brookdale courses were more challenging. I’m very impressed with their University Partnership program, athletic achievements, top-notch radio station, and its bucolic campus. It is a board I am truly proud to serve on.”
