Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Governmental Affairs and Community Relations is to enhance and promote, through continued relationship building on all levels of government and engagement within our communities, the strategic initiatives and programs of Brookdale Community College. The office serves as the primary avenue of contact with government officials, policy makers and community stakeholders.

MONITORING LEGISLATION & IMPLEMENTATION:

A4334 / S2870  Authorizes county sheriff to appoint Class Three special law enforcement officer to provide security at county community college or vocational school – Status: Introduced in Assembly & Senate referred to Committees

A2653 / S2059  Commits $3 million from Supplemental Workforce Fund for Basic Skill to NJ Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development – Status: Assembly referred (+) out of Committee / Senate referred to Committee

A598 / S1815  Directs Secretary of Higher Education to establish performance-based funding plans for public institutions of higher education – Status: Introduced in Assembly & Senate referred to Committees
