Welcome to the Office of Governmental Affairs and Community Relations!
The Office of Governmental Affairs and Community Relations (GovCom) is the college’s primary liaison with federal, state, and local government, as well as with stakeholders, leaders, and civic organizations in the communities served by Brookdale Community College. GovCom also manages the NJ Community College Opportunity Grant Program through which eligible students access tuition-free college and CCOG student support and basic needs services.
The office has special responsibilities with regard to the development of the college’s Community Engagement Team charged with enhancing strategic planning, solution-focused decision making, communication, and performance management. The CE team incorporates the use of Technology, Innovation & Next Level Strategies to create a more collaborative culture in pursuit of the broad college-wide strategic goals.
