What brought you to Brookdale?
I had a friend, Michael Fowler, who was teaching in Brookdale’s marketing department. I was also attracted to the college due to its reputation.
Describe one or more of your biggest achievements as a Brookdale faculty member:
I have served as chair of Brookdale Governance and advisor to the History and Political Science Club, and I have been the recipient of Brookdale’s Outstanding Colleague Award, the Barringer Award, and the Outstanding Faculty Member award from Brookdale Athletics.
Do you work outside of the college?
I serve as a trustee for the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial (NJVVM) and the NJVVM’s Annual Gala Award. I also serve on the Educational Advisory Board for the Monmouth County Historical Association.
What would you say is your most memorable moment – or moments – as a member of the Brookdale community?
It’s always the promising student, or when a student who was struggling finds success. I was also part of the effort to preserve Brookdale’s College Hour, which allows students to engage in campus clubs, activities and connect between classes.
What do you think separates Brookdale from other colleges?
The excellence of our faculty and our hard working, dedicated staff.
