More than 40 members of the Brookdale community, local religious and community stakeholders attended the Community College Faith-based Information Session on campus February 1. The group included representatives from Monmouth County’s churches, synagogues and community organizations. They came to learn more about the Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) initiatives and partnership opportunities.

Ms. Stefani Thachik, Director of the Policy and Outreach Office of the Secretary of Higher Education, addressed the community leaders. She discussed the importance of making the community college experience accessible and affordable to all New Jersey residents. She added that Governor Phil Murphy and Secretary of Higher Education Zakiya Smith Ellis remain committed to that goal.
