Position Summary

JP Hogan Coring & Sawing Corp is growing its business and is seeking an experienced Estimator that can immediately add value to the organization and mesh with the dynamic, hardworking, and adaptable team that exists today. To be successful, you must be a quick learner, a quick thinker and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and satisfy our customers.

Job description/requirements:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates with minimal assistance by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
• Be technically savvy. Utilizing on-screen take offs is a positive.
• Meet with and develop positive relationships with contractors. Travel to job sites to ensure our operator and equipment is being utilized in the same manner as the estimate intended
• Continually marketing the company and looking for future opportunities to grow the business. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Interact with clients, architects, engineers and local jurisdictions to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc.
• Review subcontract agreements and purchase orders to ensure the correct scope of work and correct price is in place.
• Maintain knowledge of industry by attending trade training courses, reading trade material and related works.
• Stay informed of company plans, policies and procedures
