TLC Processes and QM Implementations
Faculty teaching fully online courses are certified through completion of comprehensive coursework which includes instruction on QM.
The TLC offers a Best Practices for Quality Online Courses workshop described here:
- Are you an experienced online instructor interested in measuring your course quality against national standards? The Quality Matters Rubric is a set of 8 general standards used to evaluate the design of online and blended courses. Come to this workshop to get started in using the rubric to assess and enhance your course. The standards address Course Overview and Introduction; Learning Objectives (Competencies); Assessment and Measurement; Instructional Materials; Learner Interaction and Engagement; Course Technology; Learner Support; and Accessibility.
Faculty are invited each term to meet with the Director of the TLC to evaluate their online courses based on the QM rubric, and make appropriate adjustments to meet standards.
