On Thursday, April 20, the English Department offers the Shakespeare Read-a-Thon, continuing the College’s annual celebration of Shakespeare’s birthday.
This event has taken place annually since 2011 with readings from the plays and sonnets; this year the focus will be on the power of love in Shakespeare. Members of the community, students, faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to read the words spoken by the Bard’s lovers – his own and from the works of others.
Attendees are encouraged to invite friends and family members. (They also can come just to listen if they like.) Individual reading, readings in pairs, or group readings of scenes with several characters are all encouraged.
Refreshments will be served. For additional information please contact Professor Jim Cody at 732-224-2681 or email email@example.com
