Lisa is a former addict who has been sober for seven years. She is currently in school pursuing a degree in social work with a minor in substance use disorders. She is a recovery coach, the director of northern New Jersey operations for the organization City of Angels, and she has a two year old son. She has overcome many obstacles, including undergoing surgeries in sobriety, and wants to share her experiences and knowledge with those in need.
CPC Behavioral Health
CPC Behavioral Health was originally founded in 1960 as the Children’s Psychiatric Center. Since then, they have expanded to a safe haven in Monmouth County with seven locations, four counseling centers, and a special education high school. In addition to their work in the psychology sector, they also have a large focus on substance abuse. They hope to serve their community by delivering evidence based services in mental health, substance abuse, and special education to promote wellness, recovery and productive lives. Ken Pecoraro will be speaking about the variety of services that CPC offers to those with opioid addictions including but not limited to counseling programs, support housing, and employment services.
Kenneth Pecoraro – CPC Behavioral Health
Kenneth Pecoraro received his Master of Social Work degree in 1996 from Rutgers University where he specialized in casework with an emphasis on addictions treatment. Mr. Pecoraro has been a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000 and a Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor since 1997. Mr. Pecoraro has extensive experience working directly with and supervising programs for substance use and co-occurring disorders for both adults and adolescents for over 25 years. Mr. Pecoraro has worked for CPC Behavioral Healthcare, located in Monmouth County, NJ since 2001 and he currently serves as the Director of Addiction and Co-Occurring Services for the agency.
