Planetary Alignment Talk with Dr. Sarbmeet Kanwal

Much has been reported about the upcoming planetary alignment that is set to peak in our area on February 25, 2025. In this talk, Professor Kanwal will explain the astronomical basis of the event and how best to view the alignment from your backyard. Much of the hype around the event may be misplaced but the significance of these planetary gatherings in highlighting our connection to the vast universe from which we have emerged cannot be underestimated. It might be the only way to help heal our conflicted world.

Speaker’s Bio:

After retiring from a long and successful career in telecommunications research at Bell Labs, Dr. Sarbmeet Kanwal now teaches Quantum Physics and Astronomy at Brookdale Community College. He received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from the California Institute of Technology. Among his accolades are Teacher of the Year at Brookdale and the Earl Thomas Teasley Humanitarian Award from the Monmouth County Human Relations Commission for his work in promoting interfaith peace building. Dr. Kanwal is a sought-after speaker on topics dealing with science and astronomy and the author of two TEDx talks titled “Chaos to Cosmos” and “Science Reimagined: Harmony through Awe”
