Songwriting-Getting Started

Do you play the guitar or piano? Enjoy creative writing? Have you always wanted to write a song? Join The School of Music and Drama’s Jim Josselyn for an introductory exploration of music composition and songwriting. (Jim’s past students include Charlie Puth, Colton Kayser and Phoebe Ryan) His songs have been on over forty television shows, two commercials and two indie films. Students will learn songwriting basics including harmony, form, structure, intros, endings and more and be inspired to see music in everything. 3 SESSIONS
