Souls Shot Portrait Project Opening Reception

The Souls Shot Portrait Project pairs fine artists and families and friends of victims of gun violence. The artists create portraits using diverse approaches and emphasize the individuality and uniqueness of the victims portrayed. The exhibition is a truly moving tribute. Please join us for this powerful experience.

Opening Reception: September 10, 2021, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Program  begins at 5:30 pm
Guest speakers:  Dr. David Stout, president, Brookdale Community College, Laura Madeleine, executive director and curator, Souls Shot Project, Ashley Zampogna-Krug, assistant professor, History, chairman of Global Citizenship Project, Judi Ungar, assistant professor, Bankier Library, Angela Kariotis, director, Diversity and Inclusion, Ave Latte, professor, Education and co-chair, Civility Week, Dijuan Gao, assistant professor, Human Services.

The exhibition will be on view in the Center for Visual Arts gallery from September 8 through October 1

Gallery hours Monday to Friday 10 am – 4 pm
