Leigh is a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist, Certified EMDR Therapist, and an Approved EMDR Consultant. She is also a Board Certified Neurofeedback provider. Leigh currently works in private practice at Center for Dynamic Growth in Hamilton, New Jersey, and agency she created to provide a multi-modal approach to healing.
Ms. Povia has trained extensively in the attachment relationship across the life span, in addition to trauma and how it impacts the individuals’ concept of self as well as their brain. The interventions that are used are guided by the most current brain research available. She believes there is not a one size fits all program for any individual. Ms. Povia works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Additionally, she provides mentoring and consultation to other therapists in the United States and Candada.
Please join the Psychology and Human Services Club as we provide some understanding of trauma, mental health challenges, and treatment from a professional who works on stigma everyday with her clients.
