Taiwan: Past and Future

Claimed by China but governed independently, Taiwan has been the center of the US-China cold war and a potential flashpoint. Brookdale’s Asia Society has invited Professor Michael Stone from Seton Hall University to give a lecture on Taiwan’s history followed by a panel discussion concerning the current crisis over Taiwan status and the possibility of a US-China armed conflict.
