The Creative Process

October 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$85

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore one of Brookdale’s most popular courses, drawn from the Humanities 3-credit class of the same name. “Creativity” is usually assumed to mean the ‘arts.’ This course goes way deeper and explores all our creative fields: we dig into the ‘universal’ human-defining creations: language, mythology, religion, how we think and the evolution of philosophy. We will unwrap how creativity happens and how creativity is what defines us as human. We’ll explore the ‘arts’ based on our five senses-what we see, hear, smell, touch and taste. And, for a change of pace, we will examine the amazing story of the creation of the earliest computer (c.1830s!), leading to the world of Artificial Intelligence. 4 SESSIONS
