Coming to Campus: COVID-19 Information, Protocols and Policies
It is hard to come up with a scientific phenomenon that holds as universal a fascination as Black Holes. Perhaps it’s the mystery they hide – no one can peek inside without being swallowed up; or maybe because they could be a gateway to a new universe, or a porthole to communicate with the past, as in the movie Interstellar. In this course we will separate myth from reality by looking at black hole physics: why they exist? What we still don’t know about them? How they could be the ultimate source of energy? Training in math/science is not required.
