Admissions – A Short Film, Israeli/Palestinian Possibilities for Peace

March 8 @ 11:45 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Dr. Saliba Sarsar, a professor of political science at Monmouth University and contributor to an innovative plan for peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine, will guide the audience through a lecture, film viewing, and discussion on the importance and possibility of advancing peace between Israel and Palestine. Audience members will gain historical context on the Israeli/Palestinian divide, view the short film Admissions, and engage in a post-viewing discussion about the possibilities for peace.

The film evokes emotion, thought, healing, and a well-spring of love.
“Admissions” stars Academy Award nominee James Cromwell and tells a transformational tale about what it takes to find lasting peace. Featuring an Israeli couple and a Palestinian, this modern parable is set in the admissions room for the afterlife. Its purpose is to start a conversation that heals.
