Uyghurs, China’s surveillance state, and the sale of surveillance technology to other countries

March 25, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Uyghur face discrimination and persecution every day. The Chinese government violently separates families, isolates Uyghurs from the outside world, and forces Uyghur citizens to abandon their Muslim religion and cultural heritage. Nury explains how China targets its Uyghur population, the long history of injustices faced by the Uyghur people, and how you can help the millions of Uyghurs still living in Xinjiang today.
