Describe one of your biggest achievements as a Brookdale faculty member:
I have completed the National League for Nursing Simulation Leadership program, and now I am able to to contribute to my division as an expert in nursing education simulation.
Do you work outside of the college as well?
I worked for many years at Centrastate Medical Center [in Freehold] in cardiac rehabilitation and the emergency room.
What would you say is your most memorable moment – or moments – as a member of the Brookdale community?
It is very rewarding to go into one of the local hospitals and see a previous student working as a nurse or a nurse manager. Not long ago, I had a student who was the daughter of a student I had during my first semester at Brookdale.
What do you think separates Brookdale from other colleges?
Brookdale has a well deserved reputation for excellence. Working here feels like being part of a family and we are committed to the very important role that we serve in helping our students to achieve their goals.
Would you recommend that students take a class in your department?
I would absolutely recommend that students take a class in our nursing department. Brookdale’s nursing program has the distinction of being one of only two associate degree programs in the country that are recognized as being a Center of Excellence by the National League for Nursing. Our articulation programs also allow our students to seamlessly complete their bachelor’s degree in nursing in a very cost-effective and time-efficient manner while still guaranteeing educational excellence.
