What brought you to Brookdale?
I originally came to Brookdale for the educational opportunity of pursuing an interest in healthcare.

Describe one or more of your biggest achievements as a Brookdale faculty member:
Since the start of my career at Brookdale in 1990, there was one pivotal moment when we faced the possibility of losing the respiratory care program due to low enrollment in 2000. I helped to ensure the program continued. I also helped established the Respiratory Care Association and continue to serve as a co-advisor today. 

Do you work outside of the college?
I could say I practice what I preach. When I am not teaching Respiratory Care, I work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at a local hospital.

What would you say is your most memorable moment – or moments – as a member of the Brookdale community?  
There are many over the years. The Great American Smoke Out is one event in which the students provide a presentation, lung testing and education to the community. The Allied Health Pinning ceremony, which I helped establish, occurs each spring for our Respiratory Care and Radiologic Technology graduates.

What do you think separates Brookdale from other colleges?
It is the students who are looking for a opportunity to be a part of a community, and it is the faculty and staff wanting to help each and every student obtain that opportunity and follow it to its successful outcome.
