Brookdale Celebrates International Education Week November 13 – 17!
International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of the U.S. government’s efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences with Americans. Brookdale joins thousands of institutions around the world in celebrating diversity and global perspectives.

Wednesday, November 15, Pop-up Cinema – The Road Home; 10:00 am – 5:00 pm; Paramount Theater, Student Life Center. In this film, which will be shown throughout the day, city businessman Luo Yusheng returns to his home village in North China for the funeral of his father, the village teacher. Before returning to the city, Yusheng symbolically honors his father’s dearest wish: He spends one day teaching in the village school.
