Berlin is history; Berlin is culture; Berlin is politics; Berlin is the crossroads of where west meets east. In this, the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall come explore the role of student civic engagement in the reunification of one of world’s most vibrant and engaging cities. Explore the birthplace of the Third Reich, the Communist Wall and the Cold War which all fell to create what is now an international cultural hub. This transformative adventure is led by Brookdale Adjunct Instructor & Former Asbury Park Mayor Ed Johnson and Brookdale Professor Kurt Scheffler. Participants may take one or both courses. If you have already taken the courses offered, the faculty will be offering Special Projects courses.
