Study Abroad – Peru: Women’s Studies and English Special Project

From Lima to Machu Picchu: Cultural Research and Experiential Learning in the Land of the Inca

Have you always wanted to see Machu Picchu? Hike a part of the Inca trail? Immerse yourself in Peruvian culture? If so, then please come to an information session about our faculty-led program to Peru in summer 2023.

Professors Roseanne Alvarez and Elana Maloney will be offering Humanities 129, Issues in Women’s Studies, and English 295, Special Project, in Peru on this exciting, short-term study abroad.

We’ll meet with a feminist activist, spend time at schools and weaving communities, and farms, and visit archaeological sites. For the Special Project option, this trip can fulfill any interest: Culinary, Hospitality, Spanish, Anthropology, Sociology, Literature, Creative Writing, Education, Fashion, Women and Gender Studies, and many more. You choose your focus on a trip that will include a variety of activities and experiences.
