Study Abroad – Italy: Interior Design

Classicism in Interior Design: Roots to Renaissance

This tour leverages the abundance of foremost examples of Classical architecture and interiors available in Italy to examine this style from its primal and powerful origins in the idealism of Ancient Greece; to the reality, richness, and ribaldry of Ancient Rome; to the blending of both in the magnificence of Renaissance masters such as:  Raphael, Peruzzi, da Sangallo, and of course, “the Divine One” Michelangelo.  From Paestum, to Herculaneum and Pompeii, to Rome, be inspired by an intellectual and sensual experience; by the creations and the culture of the Classical tradition at its earliest and, many would say, its best.
