Position Summary

Administrative / Program Assistant (Bilingual English / Spanish) – DIRECT SERVICES TEAM Opening: (1 FT Atlantic / Ocean Counties– 35 hours per week) Candidates with experience in data entry and analyzing data with superior organizational skills please apply. This position has a high volume of calls for various programs within the department, so patience is of utmost importance. Available to work outside of normal business hours when necessary. · Candidate must effectively communicate with families in English and Spanish (preferred). · High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. · College degree preferred. · The candidate must have experience in dealing with the public, be professional, sensitive to the needs of low-income families, have clerical and computer skills, flexible and be able to work on a variety of tasks. · Proficient in all Microsoft applications and adapt quickly to agency software used. · Candidate must be detail orientated, deadline driven, exercise strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Case Manager(s) / Housing Counselors – DIRECT SERVICES TEAM Openings: (2FT Ocean and Atlantic Counties – 35 hours per week) Direct Services Department provides Intensive Case Management to ensure wellbeing, stability, health, safety and avenues for self-sufficiency for OCEAN, Inc.’s clients. Candidate assists clients with the completion of documents for income eligible programs, assessing employable skills and abilities, housing stabilization, child care assistance, and so much more while developing and maintaining working relationship with other agencies including Mental Health Facilities, Public Defenders, Social Security Office, DCP&P, Board of Social Services, and more. Documentation, interventions, data input and outcomes are required regularly. Department regularly organizes and participates in community outreach to educate the broader community. Available to work outside of normal business hours when necessary. · Candidates must have BA / BS in Social Work or related field and / or experience in case management with solid organizational skills. · Proficient in all Microsoft applications and adapt quickly to agency software used. · Effective and relatable communication with clients and staff of diverse backgrounds. · Prefer candidate to speak, read and write Spanish in addition to English to meet caseload need. · Valid Driver’s License and transportation. Groundskeeper / Handyman – MAINTENANCE TEAM Openings: (3FT Ocean County for 37.5 – 40 hours per week) Performs a range of duties for our agency and properties. Duties include and not limited to repair guidance, cleaning and remodeling, regular repairs, painting, landscaping tasks, carpeting, and more. Education / Site Supervisor – HEAD START TEAM Openings: (1FT) Lakewood (1FT) Toms River – 40 hours per week Monitors the implementation of education services and guides teaching staff in child development best practices for children ages 3 – 5 years old. Monitors and coordinates staff schedules internally and arrange/schedule substitutes for the center as mandated by Head Start Management and Programs. In addition, ensures safety of facility and coordinates service.

• BA or BS in Early Childhood Education or related field with required minimal of 18 credits in Early Childhood credits. Health Clerk – HEAD START TEAM Openings: (1FT) Lakewood / Berkeley Sites 35 hours per week Program Year position processes and monitors the health records for all students enrolled in Head Start and Early Head Start Programs; and assists in all aspects of health-related services under the direction of the Health Manager. Early Head Start Manager – EARLY HEAD START TEAM Openings: (1FT Services Lakewood and office based in Manchester, NJ – 37.5 hours per week) The Early Head Start/Head Start Site Manager oversees the overall management of the Early Childhood Education homebased program, including supervising Early Head Start Home Visitors and overseeing site. Program assists enrolled pregnant women and children ages birth to 3 years old. The EHS Manager trains, supervises and evaluates staff and ensures client needs / goals are on track. Refer to Home Visitor posting for more program information. · Bachelors or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related field with preschool teaching experience. Home Visitor Teacher Bilingual English/Spanish – EARLY HEAD START TEAM Opening: (1FT Lakewood – 35 hours based at Manchester Site) The Early Head Start Home Visitor will provide early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services to eligible pregnant women, infants, toddlers and their families through a series of weekly home visits (90 minutes) and scheduled socializations activities. The EHS home visitor will design, plan and carry out developmentally appropriate experiences that meet all component areas of Head Start, the school readiness goals established by the program and the individual needs of the child. Each Home Visitor will maintain a maximum caseload of 10-12 infants, toddlers and/or pregnant women. · Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, CDA Infant Toddler or Home Visitor. · Prefer college degree in early childhood education or related field with 18 college credits in ECE and preschool teaching experience. · Requires bilingual; speak, read and write English & Spanish to meet caseload need. · Agency vehicle provided for home visits and agency use. · Flexibility in schedule to meet agency need. Social Services / Family Service Worker – Bilingual English / Spanish – HEAD START / EARLY HEAD START TEAM Openings: (1FT Lakewood and 1 FT Partnership 37.5 hours per week) The Family Service Worker recruits and enrolls children in the Head Start and Early Head Start programs and ensure that Head Start program services and community resources are available to enrolled children and their families. The Family Service Worker will work with families to develop a strength-based plan of action to meet their needs and will inform neighborhood residents and the community about the services provided through the programs. The FSW will be responsible for maintaining accurate data on each family in order to facilitate program services and to assess their impact on the families we serve and will be responsible for providing ongoing guidance (resource and referrals). The FSW will work as a team to build relationships with parents and guardians that support parent engagement and ensure positive outcomes for children. The Family Service Worker will work collaboratively with Teachers, Home Visitors, Caregivers, and other center-based or homebased staff to ensure that children are adjusting to Head Start / Early Head Start and are achieving positive outcomes.

• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family Studies, Counseling, Family Development • Valid driver license, & access to transportation.
