Bookkeeper/Office Administrator - Temple Beth Ahm (Aberdeen)
Position Summary
We are a synagogue seeking a full-time Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to manage all bookkeeping functions and assist with administrative activities. This position is responsible for financial data, maintaining accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial entries and reconciliations.
This candidate will also assist with basic office management duties.
Job Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Functions: Payables & Receivables, Billing & Collections, Banking/Account Reconciliation, Payroll
Assist with the annual budgeting process and budget oversight. Maintain established financial practices Member Services: Communication with members in person, via email and telephone, as well as maintain membership records Grant writing support.- Maintain electronic files, including backing up and managing software updates.
- Maintain Board document files
- Administrative liaison to Executive Committee. Provide information to authorized parties as necessary
- Maintain finances for events taking place in the building, including but not limited to bar/bat mitzvahs, fundraising events, etc.
- Coordinate event information
- Other responsibilities, as requested
Qualifications
Skills: QuickBooks, ShulCloud, ADP, Email, Excel, Word, Comfortable with learning new software, if needed. 2+ years experience in Accounting required. Excellent communication and people friendly skills. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. The right candidate will possess a positive, hardworking attitude!
Additional Information
Job Location: Aberdeen, NJ
Salary Range: $48,000-$52,000
Benefits: Bonus pay, paid time off, Federal and Jewish holidays off. This position DOES NOT have health benefits
