Full-Time Certified Pharmacy Tech, Personal RX (East Rutherford)

Position Summary

Our innovative and growing national pharmacy seeks smart, detail-oriented, driven andJob Description: Onboarding Specialist (Pharmacy Technician) experienced sales professionals. As a member of our patient acquisition team, you’ll take pride in helping people choose a pharmacy that simplifies medication management and improves patient’s healthcare. With no added charges, our pharmacy does more for patients. We provide free delivery of pre-sorted medications in personalized dose packs (instead of bottles/vials) that are labeled with the patient name, drug name, dosage and time day that the patient should take them – so that it’s easy to take the right medications at the right time, every time (see a sample on our website www.personalrx.com).

This position has a base salary of $40,000. High performers have a solid opportunity to also earn a significant bonus and stock options. This position is more than a job …. Additionally, since we are a growing company, advancement to other more senior positions where you can learn other aspects of our pharmacy business is likely.


During the first few weeks, you will receive training on our system and our services.


Responsibilities:

Our onboarding specialists are experienced pharmacy technicians and self-starters who take great pride and ownership in their work and their success. You’ll report directly to the Onboarding Manager and your primary responsibilities include:

Contact pharmacies to transfer in prescriptions for new patients

Contact doctors to obtain new prescriptions for new patients

Enter prescription information into our system

Contact the patient with first shipment date and copay information

Update the patient notes in our system as needed

Provide status/update of the above work tasks to the Onboarding Manager

Attend Onboarding Team meetings with company management to review call status, issues and Magellan status

Discuss any issues with transferring prescriptions or obtaining new prescriptions with the Onboardng Manager and resolve as needed

Track insurance denials and work with the appropriate staff to get coverage, contact member when insurance coverage received

Prepare ad-hoc patient analysis as required by management


Overall:

Communicate with team members about any issues that require input from others (e.g., pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, billing and insurance specialists)

Learn company policies and procedures, and adhere to them

Follow all laws and regulations concerning patient privacy and every aspect of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)

Identify issues that require a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or Policy and Procedure and share with management

Answer the phone in a timely manner

Be a team player — remain aware that you work for a growing dynamic company, with changing and emerging priorities


Qualifications and Skills

Must have a pharmacy technician license (NJ)

Spanish language proficiency (optional)

Excellent verbal communications required

Excellent written communications preferred


Salary:

Starting $19.25 per hour
