Position Summary

The Garden Center Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service and product knowledge to customers visiting the garden center. They assist customers with selecting plants, gardening tools, and other garden-related products. Additionally, they help maintain the appearance of the garden center by organizing products, keeping displays neat and clean, and ensuring inventory is stocked.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the garden center and provide them with a warm welcome and any necessary assistance.

• Assist customers with selecting plants, gardening tools, and other garden-related products.

• Provide expert advice to customers on plant care, landscaping, and gardening techniques.

• Operate the cash register and handle transactions in an accurate and timely manner.

• Maintain a clean and organized garden center, including watering plants, sweeping, and dusting displays.

• Ensure that all products are properly labeled and priced.

• Assist with receiving and organizing inventory shipments, and restock shelves as needed.

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints and escalate issues to the manager as necessary.

• Attend training sessions to stay up to date on new products, trends, and techniques in the garden center industry.

• Meet sales goals and targets set by the manager.
