Position Summary

The Center for Career Development is seeking part-time and per diem instructors to teach non-credit Healthcare courses. Experience teaching Medical Assistant, EKG, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Massage Therapy, Dental and Nursing programs, as well as other healthcare programs. Experience preferred. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree and or 2 years of experience teaching and should be available to teach classes during the day, evenings, and possible weekends. We are also looking for instructors to develop the curriculum, as well as teach the following three courses:

Medical Billing and Insurance – This course would prepare students to work in a medical practice, billing service, hospital billing department, or insurance company. This class would be approximately 54 hours in length.

Sterile Processing – This is a rapidly growing field in which professionals play a critical role in preventing infection. We have the paperwork from two certifying bodies with a course outline that may be used to help develop the course. This class requires a commitment from a clinical site.

Medical Assistant Program Coordinator and Lead Instructor– Brookdale is formally recognized by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), a national credentialing organization for allied professionals. This 600+ hour program covers topics including patient interaction, front desk procedures, infection control, emergency procedures, phlebotomy, minor procedures, EKG and CPR certifications with classes online, in person, and a clinical externship.
