Infant/toddler Teacher’s Assistant – Cornerstone Childcare Academy (Matawan)

Position Summary

Works with teachers to promote the educational and social development of the children enrolled in the program.


Job Responsibilities

Reports directly to and is under the supervision of the Education Coordinator, and ultimately to the Childcare Director.


Supervises the classroom when the teacher is out of the room, if they are over 18Works with teachers. to ensure organization of free play, corresponds to scheduled structured activitiesImplement activities based on knowledge of child developmentAssists with meals, toileting (only over 18 years of age), hand washingPerforms other duties necessary to the smooth functioning of the facility as assigned by the Teacher or the DirectorMaintains an orderly physical environment conducive to optimal growth and development with special regard to health and safetyReports any medical problems and accidents to the teacher or Director. Knows and follows Universal Precautions
