Position Summary

DP Custom Designs LLC is a licensed and insured renovation company serving Ocean and Monmouth Counties. We specialize in high-quality kitchen design and remodeling, offering cabinetry layout, product selection, and full-service project execution for both residential and commercial clients.

We currently partner with local schools such as Manchester High School and OCVTS to provide hands-on experience for students entering the trades—and we’re now looking to expand our team by bringing on a talented student or recent graduate from a kitchen or interior design program.

Position Overview: We’re seeking a Kitchen Design Assistant to support our team in layout planning, cabinetry design, client consultations, and material selections. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain real-world experience and grow within the kitchen remodeling industry.

Job Responsibilities

-Assist in designing functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen layouts

-Work with design software (SketchUp, 2020, or similar—training available)

-Support client meetings, product selections, and jobsite walkthroughs

-Communicate with vendors and suppliers for cabinetry and hardware orders

-Learn and participate in the remodeling process from start to finish

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

-Basic knowledge of kitchen design principles

-Strong communication and organizational skills

-Eagerness to learn and collaborate

-Reliable transportation

-Experience with design software is a plus but not required
