Legal Assistant – Commercial Real Estate, Ansell Grimm & Aaron PC (Ocean)

Position Summary

Seeking Legal Assistant to assist the commercial real estate department in a variety of administrative tasks.

Shift Type: Full – Time

Work Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:15pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

-Assist with blacklining commercial contracts, leases, financing, and other documents

-Assist with residential files with minimal attorney assistance, including preparation of closing documents and review of settlement statements

-Assist with preparing documents for signature for commercial closings

-Assist with creating post-closing binders for clients

-General secretarial duties, including scheduling appointments/meetings, filing, faxing, -scanning, ordering supplies etc.

-Recording attorney time entries and preparing client invoices

-Answering phones in a pleasant and professional manner and communicating with clients, lenders, real estate professionals and other attorneys on a daily basis by phone, email and mailed correspondence

-Opening new files and filing documents throughout each transaction

-Assist with handling trust and business accounts


-3+ years experience as a legal assistant in commercial real estate

-Strong background in real estate; commercial real estate is preferred

-Must be knowledgeable in real estate transactions

-Knowledge in document management system IManage and billing system Orion is a plus
