Maintenance Mechanic, NutraStar (Farmingdale)

Position Summary

In this key role, you will be responsible for assisting with the smooth running of our manufacturing and packaging lines. Your duties will include monitoring, inspecting, and assembling machinery, assisting with change overs, and performing routine maintenance. The goal is to keep the lines running as efficiently as possible and reduce downtime.


Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and technical abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular maintenance on machinery and systems

Assemble mechanical components according to specifications

Ensure a safe work environment

Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems

Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades

Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records

Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary


Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification

A minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a similar role

Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team

Strong willingness to learn and grow

Must possess good organizational and coordinating abilities

Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving

Must have good judgement and decision-making abilities


We are willing to provide training for entry-level candidates and these roles provide exceptional growth opportunities and room for advancement. There are currently three shifts available on Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am and Monday-Friday 7-3:30pm.


Non vaccinated employees required to wear masks in open areas.
