Special Law Enforcement Officer Class I – Spring Lake, NJ Police Department

Position Summary

Special Officer Class I are hired by the Borough of Spring Lake Police Department to assist with the beach front and Third Avenue Business District during the summer season. Officers are detailed with patrolling the beach and business areas to assist visitors with questions or information. Officers are also tasked with enforcement of borough ordinances and parking enforcement.


New hires will be sent to the Monmouth County Police Academy to take part in a two-week training for the position. The academy generally runs the first part of May each year.
