Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE):

2016 Community College Survey of Student Engagement

CCSSE 2016 Key Findings: Report includes benchmark comparisons between Brookdale Community College, top-performing colleges, and the entire CCSSE cohort. It also highlights aspects of the highest and lowest student engagement at the college, as well as results from five CCSSE special-focus items.

CCSSE 2016 Comparison Group Benchmarks: Scale scores on each of five CCSSE Benchmarks (i.e., Active and Collaborative Learning; Student Effort; Academic Challenge; Student-Faculty Interaction; Support for Learners). Frequency distributions for Items comprising the scales are also included. Brookdale scale scores are compared to large colleges and to the entire CCSSE 2016 Cohort.

CCSSE 2016 Custom Comparison Groups – Developmental Status: Scale scores on each CCSSE Benchmark  (i.e., Active and Collaborative Learning; Student Effort; Academic Challenge; Student-Faculty Interaction; Support for Learners) by Developmental / Non-Developmental status. Means and frequency distributions for Items comprising the scales are also included as a function of Developmental status. Brookdale scale scores are compared to large colleges and to the entire CCSSE 2016 Cohort.

CCSSE 2016 Custom Comparison Groups – Nontraditional Status: Scale scores on each CCSSE Benchmark (i.e., Active and Collaborative Learning; Student Effort; Academic Challenge; Student-Faculty Interaction; Support for Learners) by Traditional (18-24) / Non-traditional (25 and older) status. Means and frequency distributions for Items comprising the scales are also included as a function of Traditional / Nontraditional status. Brookdale scale scores are compared to large colleges and to the entire CCSSE 2016 Cohort.

CCSSE 2016 Student Financial Health Special Focus Items.  Frequency distributions on 15 items pertaining to student financial health, debt, and budgeting.  Brookdale responses are compared to students from large colleges and to the entire CCSSE 2016 cohort.
