“We are excited to offer this new much needed program to individuals in this demographic,” said Noreen Kane, the program manager of Lifelong Learning at Brookdale. “Our goal is to help participants increase their self and career awareness and acquire job-specific skills that will prepare them for employment.”

Additionally, participants will engage in a variety of activities, including STEAM design, podcasting, music projects, arts and crafts, gardening, landscaping, outdoor adventures, nature walks, games, therapy dog visits, and more. The program also includes employment explorations, such as community service, career fairs, employer speaker series, and onsite employment visits. For the evenings, participants can enjoy a range of social events, including dance parties, movie nights, carnivals, flashlight hide-and-seek, crafts, fireside chats, and s’mores.
