The Quality Matters Rubric is a set of 8 general standards used to evaluate the design of online and blended courses. Come to this workshop to get started in using the rubric to assess and enhance your course. The standards address Course Overview and Introduction; Learning Objectives (Competencies); Assessment and Measurement; Instructional Materials; Learner Interaction and Engagement; Course Technology; Learner Support; and Accessibility.Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a proactive approach to making education available to as wide an audience as possible. While there are specific requirements for addressing education and access for persons with disabilities, UDL goes several steps further.
