Student Concerns & Complaints

Brookdale Community College recognizes the value of both positive and negative feedback from our most important constituents: our students. The College has various policies and processes for addressing student concerns.

If students encounter a problem on campus that they do not know how to resolve, they should always try to work the problem out by first discussing it with those involved. Dealing with concerns in the most direct and honest fashion should always be the first step toward resolution. Many problems are resolved when a student makes an appointment with a faculty or staff member and calmly and honestly communicates their concerns.

However, if this strategy does not work, or there is a legitimate concern about addressing the involved person(s) directly, please please familiarize yourself with the following resources that may be helpful.

If you did not see a resource above that you feel will help resolve your concern, please also read the College Catalog or Student Handbook for other options.  If you still believe you need assistance regarding your issue, please contact Dr. Stephen Curto, the College’s Ombudsperson, who can provide assistance with a potential resolution.
