The successful completion of this 75-hour program qualifies you to sit for the New Jersey Real Estate Salesperson’s Examination. It is also valuable and essential for those who own real estate, are prospective buyers and sellers of real property, and for experienced salespeople. Successful completion requires regular attendance. All applicants for licensure must submit to a criminal history record check. 22 SESSIONS

Prerequisites Required: 18 years of age and proof of high school diploma or GED at time of registration for the NJ licensing exam.
Note: Textbook required.

How to Market and Lease Commercial Space

This course is approved by the NJ Real Estate Commission for 3 hours of (CE) continuing education elective credits and includes these following topics:

The Marketing Process. An in-depth review & discussion of the four essential components of the marketing process including the objectives, marketing goals, the marketing story, the seven communication tools, the best prospects, and the three stages of the leasing & sales process.

The Inspection. How the tenant reaches your ‘for lease’ building via the broker, including the components of the tenant requirement, the broker’s survey preparation, the long list, the short list and tour.

The instructor is Jim Black who describes himself as “a student of office space marketing.” Jim has been a commercial broker with Cushman & Wakefield, a NJ developer’s rep, involved in marketing spec properties, and suburban office parks. Jim also was the publisher of the Black’s Guide, ‘the broker’s desktop reference.’ Then Jim joined the CoStar Group and was involved in training and advertising sales for 10 years.
