Learn to speak or improve your English

Earning your High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) and learning to speak English will greatly improve your ability to further your education and career.

Our ESOL classes will teach you to speak or improve your English. Once completed, you will have the opportunity to earn a GED, attend college, technical training, or obtain a better job.

Brookdale Community College offers NO COST ABE, GED, ESOL Levels 1, 2, 3 and Transition to GED class (ESOL Level 4).

Our on-site classes generally meet in the morning at the Hazlet, Freehold, Long Branch, and Neptune Higher Education Centers. Evening classes will (temporarily) meet online via Zoom.

Our ABE and GED classes will prepare you to take the NEW GED TEST. We cover all test subjects, including Math, English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies.

For additional information and resources for the GED test, see the GED Testing Service and Brookdale’s Testing Services websites.
