The Commercial Driver’s License Certification verifies that students have completed 160 hours of training in 3 phases:
- Classroom Training– 1st week of training that prepares students for the written exam administered by NJ DMV to obtain a validated permit (A free copy of the CDL Manual can be obtained from DMV and the 3 key sections are: General Knowledge, Airbrakes and Combination Vehicle)
- Yard Training-After passing ALL 3 sections and obtaining a validated permit, students will proceed to the yard for hands on training to learn the Pre-Trip Inspection, Airbrakes, along with Skills and Maneuvers.
- Road Training-Once students have mastered Skills & Maneuvers safely, they will progress to on the road training with an instructor to get prepare for the state road test at DMV.
Please note: The NJ Permit cost is $125.00 (Valid for 6 months)
Hours of Training: 8AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
