The stage is set for another season of outdoor theater as Brookdale invites performers of all experience levels to audition for its Summer Shakespeare Ensemble production of Julius Caesar.

Open auditions will take place at the Brookdale Performing Arts Center on the Lincroft campus. Those interested in participating can attend one of the following sessions:

Audition Dates:

April 20, 5:00–7:00 p.m.
April 21, 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Callbacks: April 22, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Participants should meet the stage manager in the lobby upon arrival. No preparation is required—audition sides will be provided on site. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.

Brookdale’s Summer Shakespeare Ensemble is a beloved seasonal tradition, bringing classic works to life in an accessible, outdoor setting. This year’s production of Julius Caesar will be performed on the Great Lawn, offering audiences a chance to experience Shakespeare under the summer sky.

July 9–12 and July 16–19, 2026
All performances begin at 7:00 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and picnics are welcome. Parking will be available in Lot 2, with signage directing visitors to the performance area. This performance is partially funded through a Monmouth Arts Grant.
