Intelligent.com, a trusted resource for program rankings and higher education planning, has included Brookdale Community College on its list of the Best Community Colleges in New Jersey in 2023. The research identifies top schools in the state based on tuition costs, the number of credits required to graduate, and the online coursework delivery format.
Brookdale Community College was awarded Best Partnerships on the final list. Most of the students at Brookdale are in associate degree programs leading to transfer to a four-year school. The college offers several dual-degree programs with four-year institutions. These include the Brookdale-Georgian Court University Partnership which offers six bachelor’s degrees, including English, Psychology, and Nursing, and the Brookdale-Rutgers University Partnership which offers seven bachelor’s degree programs, including Business Administration, Liberal Studies, and Political Science, all available at the Lincroft campus. Brookdale also has transfer agreements with over 45 colleges and universities worldwide. These specialized agreements offer students several benefits for transfer, including transfer scholarships, reduced tuition, admission fees waived, application fees waived, and more.
Intelligent.com implemented a unique methodology that ranks each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across six categories. The scoring system compares each school to tuition costs, admission, retention and graduation rates, faculty, reputation, and the student resources provided for online students.
The colleges on the list are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education Accreditation (MSCHE). This reputable organization examines the objectives, quality, and overall effectiveness of education programs in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
Studies show that obtaining a degree increases income, with graduates earning 84% more than those with only high school diplomas or those without a completed GED. The percentage difference in earnings continues to grow with higher learning degrees.
Brookdale Community College was also acknowledged as the number one community college in New Jersey on Niche’s 2023 Best Community Colleges in New Jersey list this year.
