The Brookdale Community College Foundation Board of Trustees has approved its slate of officers for the next two years.

Serving in the leadership roles are Bernadette N. Macko, President (Senior Vice President Director, Corporate Cash Management – Provident Bank); Karen Escobedo,  Vice President (Manager of Community Outreach, New Jersey Natural Gas); Michael Wicke, Sr.,  Treasurer (Managing Partner, Winged Knights Consulting Partners); and Julia Zapcic, Secretary (Publicist & Digital Marketer, Marketing Rival).

Trustees appointed to new three-year terms are Kim Kelly (Vice President, Clinical Service, CentraState Medical Center, Freehold) and Dianne Talbot (Vice President- Relationship Manager, Two River Community Bank, Freehold). Jacqueline (Jacquie) Fiorito (Charter Sales for Apollo Jets) was appointed as a new Trustee for a three-year term.

Macko, Escobedo and Fiorito are all Brookdale alumnae.

The Brookdale Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Trustees and comprised of local business and community leaders who volunteer and contribute their time, talent, and resources to support the organization’s mission.

“These individuals believe in and support our mission – to help students achieve the dream of earning a college degree so they can build a better future for themselves, their families and our communities,” reported Tim Zeiss, Executive Director, Foundation and Alumni Affairs. “Our trustees know that higher education is vital to sustaining our communities, transforms individuals, families, and communities now and for generations to come and is a springboard for those who seize the opportunities that college provides.”

This academic year the Brookdale Foundation awarded over $600,000 in scholarships and grants, including support for the POSEIDON Early College High School in Neptune, the Asbury College Promise, renovation of 21 study rooms in the Bankier Library, Continuing & Professional Studies programs, the Veteran’s Center, the Displaced Homemakers Program, and the Visiting Artist Series.
