LINCROFT, NJ (Sept. 26, 2014) – Brookdale Community College has officially opened the doors of its new Veteran’s Center, located in the Main Academic Complex on the college’s Lincroft campus.

Opening to students on Sept. 26, the center provides comprehensive benefits assistance, degree planning, career counseling and other services specifically tailored to veterans and active-duty military.

The center also serves as the new home of Brookdale’s Student Veterans Club and provides space for students to gather and interact throughout the school year.

“Our veterans have given so much, and we are committed to making their transition to college life as easy and comfortable as possible,” said Richard Pfeffer, dean of enrollment development and student affairs at Brookdale.

The Veterans Center will serve as a “one-stop shop” for students and help connect them with additional programs offered at the county, state and federal levels.

Licensed mental health professionals, including combat veterans, will also be available to provide a range of support services for veterans following their separation from service or service-related disabilities.
