Three exceptional students from Brookdale Community College have been inducted into the New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association (NJCBAA) Honor Society, joining an elite group representing the top one percent of business students from colleges and universities across the state.

Kaitlyn Norcia, Chiara Alesna, and Hanna Masiorski were formally recognized during today’s NJCBAA Honor Society induction ceremony held in the New Jersey State Assembly Chambers. The event celebrates the academic excellence, leadership, and future promise of New Jersey’s most accomplished undergraduate business students.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, Brookdale President David M. Stout, Ph.D., delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of academic achievement, perseverance, and the role of higher education in preparing the next generation of business leaders.

“This recognition reflects not only the dedication and talent of these outstanding students, but also the strength of Brookdale’s commitment to academic excellence and student success,” said Stout. “We are incredibly proud to see Kaitlyn, Chiara, and Hanna honored among the best and brightest in New Jersey.”

Supporting the students at the State House were Associate Professor and NJCBAA Vice President Dr. Annmarie Hughes, Assistant Dean of Business Michelle Zuppe, and Assistant Professor Theresa Kosko.

“This is a truly unique organization grounded in collaboration and excellence,” said Zuppe. “Through NJCBAA, students benefit from shared ideas, strong partnerships, and seamless transfer pathways between two- and four-year institutions. Kaitlyn, Chiara, and Hanna represent the very best of Brookdale, and we are incredibly proud to see them recognized among the top business students in New Jersey.”

The NJCBAA Honor Society, established in 2003, recognizes the top 1% of undergraduate students pursuing business degrees at two- and four-year institutions throughout New Jersey. Induction into the society is considered one of the highest academic honors for business students in the state.

The NJCBAA is an association of business schools representing colleges and universities across New Jersey. Its mission is to support and celebrate students and faculty in the business disciplines while fostering collaboration among institutions. Through the sharing of ideas, academic initiatives, and partnerships between two- and four-year schools, the organization helps create strong, seamless transfer pathways that benefit students and strengthen business education statewide.

For Brookdale’s newest inductees, today’s recognition marks both an academic milestone and a steppingstone toward future success in business and beyond.
