Business Case Team earned first place

Brookdale’s Business Club is celebrating a major victory after its Business Case Team earned first place at the statewide Business Case Competition hosted by Rutgers Business School in Newark on April 10, 2026.

Competing against top students from across New Jersey, Brookdale’s team delivered an outstanding performance, impressing a panel of judges that included Rutgers Business faculty and corporate partners. Their ability to analyze complex business challenges, think strategically, and present innovative solutions set them apart from the competition.

The winning team—Anthony Aldaresi, Miya Shamseldin, Alexis Gafah, Gavin Kohler, and Andrew Litt—was coached by Dr. Thomas Vorbach, whose guidance and mentorship helped prepare the students for success on the statewide stage.

As a result of their first-place finish, each student has been awarded a $1,000 annual scholarship from Rutgers Business School, Newark, recognizing both their achievement and their potential as future business leaders.

This accomplishment highlights the strength of Brookdale’s Business program and the dedication of its students, who continue to excel in competitive, real-world learning experiences.
